DMR方法綜合密度測(cè)井孔隙度和NMR測(cè)井孔隙度預(yù)測(cè)氣體校正后的地層總孔隙度和沖洗帶含水飽和度。DMR方法利用的是這樣一個(gè)事實(shí):在含氣層,密度測(cè)井孔隙度值過高而NMR總孔隙度值過低。密度孔隙度過高是因?yàn)闅怏w的密度減小,NMR總孔隙度過低是因?yàn)闅怏w的含氫指數(shù)(即流體相對(duì)于水的中子密度)降低。這種影響使得氣層中密度孔隙度測(cè)井曲線和NMR孔隙度測(cè)井曲線出現(xiàn)交叉,這與表現(xiàn)在中子/密度測(cè)井曲線上的交叉情形相類似。
